supply roll-up

We made these in that sewing class I have mentioned before. I changed the height a bit to accommodate the paintbrushes. I am going to have to do some doctoring on the twine. Even though I stitched and back stitched over and over again, it slipped out when I was tying it up for the picture:(

Here it is opened up:I am going to have to stop being so lazy and take better/more appealing pictures of my projects/layouts. I will work on that...:)

quilted list taker

This is one of my favorite sewing projects to date. Most of the ladies on my Christmas list should probably expect one of these...if you've been good, that is;) I used this tutorial from J*Casa and it was easy-peasy. I highly recommend a walking foot like Jennifer suggests. I am pretty certain that the project I was working on with my old machine that suggested the use of a walking foot, which I ignored (mainly because I didn't have one) is what killed my old machine. But anyways, how fun are these fabrics from Michael Miller? Love the colors:)

baby blankets

One of Shaun's good friend's wife is having twin girls at the end of November. I decided to make these snuggly blankets for them. I used the same print in different colors (yay for Cosmo Cricket fabric!) and minky fabric for the back.

The minky fabric was super slippery and hard to sew. As with all my projects I have attempted so far, this was a learning project. But fun...the stitching isn't straight but I am hoping that they will find it charming in a homemade sorta way:)

The blankets measure approximately 32x34 inches. Aislynn wants me to make her one, so I am planning on making one for her and one for Kieran for Christmas. With the soft minky, the snuggle factor is definitely there...I kinda want one:)
